Regional Forecast Discussion:
High pressure located to our southwest is pumping record warmth and high humidity into our region. Some locations in the Commonwealth have passed the 90 degree mark, nearly 30 degrees above average highs for early October. However, a cold front making its way through the central portion of the United States will be moving towards our area tonight into tomorrow. The system will increase clouds from west to east overnight and bring showers and thunderstorms to the entire region throughout the day Tuesday. After the front pushes east late tomorrow night, clouds will remain, especially in western regions, but temperatures will finally approach more fall-like readings.
